"I have experienced many years of lower lumbar problems which culminated in a slipped disc last year. I have spent months trying different exercises to stop my back from hurting so badly.
I was very excited to be given the opportunity to watch ‘Equestrian Pilates’ with Gemma Tattersall.
I found it a really interesting and easy to watch DVD, the Pilates exercises were easy to follow and achieve. It gives you the tools you need to develop self-awareness of your body movement; I now realize thanks to the DVD that a strong Core Muscle is very important for a good riding position. When the core is stabilized many parts of our body find their natural position while riding.
I have continued with the exercises and I now feel a lot better in my lower back and my instructor has noticed the difference in my riding position.
I would highly recommend this DVD it is very easy to relate to and utilise to improve you riding with self awareness. "

"I thought the DVD was good, I didn't really know what to expect as I have not seen any other equestrian pilates dvds. I found it quite easy to find my way around.
I especially found it good to see the riders before and after and hear their comments.
I also thought it was great linking the exercises with the problems but would have liked the written part inside the cover to be much clearer.

I think it's an excellent DVD and found it very easy to find my way around. Mary makes it very clear how to do the exercises properly, without cheating (much!!)
Although the exercises look really basic, when you are doing them without cheating I did find them to be more difficult than they look but I do have major problems with flexibility due to previous injuries. I am hoping that I will gradually become more flexible the more I do the exercises!"
