FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION FROM AMBITIOUS WRITERS - AND THE ANSWERS

NEW BOOK AIMS TO GET YOU STARTED

We don't normally do advertising here at The Musical Bus.

But, every now and again, there comes along a person with a great idea and well, we always like to do our bit to support great ideas.

John Jenkins is a highly experienced writer, editor, publisher and lecturer - he specialises in the craft of writing and, importantly, helping novice writers to really get to grips with their chosen vocation.

His new book FAQs From Ambitious Writers And The Answers is a simple no-nonsense guide to the basic skills and qualities needed. Some may say that that it's all a matter of common sense, but if that was truly the case, there would be many more succssful practiotioners and no need for this book. John Jenkins takes you through a series of questions gathered across the years he's worked in the business. The answers seem disarmingly simple, but they really do get to the heart of the matter and provide a good grounding in how to "teach yourself to write".

Subsequent chapters cover the mechanical aspects - thoughts on grammar (don't worry about it), punctuation (exercise zero tolerance) - and the more subjective aspects. These include style, dialogue, self-criticism - and before long, the aspirant writer should feel more confident, more ambitious - but, more realistic as to what is involved.

Check out his website www.faqs4writers.co.uk where you can see some testimonials and order a copy on-line for just £7.99
