MUSICAL BOX PLAYLIST - 22nd JULY PDF Print E-mail
31/05/2008

THIS WEEK - SHOW #189

The World Cup is just around the corner, so whether you are a footy fan or not, why not get away from it all by tuning in this Thursday night at 10pm to the latest edition of The Musical Box. Are we good to you or what?

And we have some great features too - a fine Archive Album Of The Week, our terrific tribute to a music city Sounds Of The City- and an excellent track in our new Let There Be Prog slot..

And - we have (mostly) all our usual stuff too:

radio_presentation.jpgEach week right here you'll find the playlist for our terrific radio show, The Musical Box. With a great mix of music from roots to rock and beyond, it's a much-loved programme - and we're keen for our listeners (either on 92.3 Forest FM in the East Dorset/West Hants area OR on www.forestfm.co.uk via the internet) to get "added value" from this website.

The table below shows the bands and artists on this Thursday's show and also provides links to relevant website or e-mail addresses.

GET YOUR REQUESTS IN

We've made it even easier for you tell us what you'd like to hear on the show as well - a new TEXT service. So, got a great track you want to share? A brilliant band you haven't heard in ages? Then tell me all about it and I'll get it arranged:

radio_clock.jpgWHY NOT CHECK OUT The Musical Box Radio Page? Just click on the RADIO BUS link at the top of the page and you'll find loads of interesting information about the show and Forest FM. You'll find a summary of all of our Albums of the week (NEW and ARCHIVE) as well as CD covers for the latest choices. Tell us what you think!

ON THIS WEEK'S SHOW- THURSDAY, 22nd JULY 2010

You can check out the playlist below - or subscribe to our free weekly newsletter which gives you much more detail - send an e-mail to me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  and I'll glady add you to the roster.

In the meantime, why not check out my show - The Musical Box? You'll find it on 92.3 FM in East Dorset/West Hampshire, or live on the internet across the world at www.forestfm.co.uk. We're also pleased that we're gradually building up an audience over in the USA, so just to help - show times there are 5pm EDT, 4pm CDT, 3pm MDTand 2pm Pacific.

Aside from the new Let There Be Prog feature, we've again sourced stacks of fine sounds and crammed them into this week's show, together with all our regular features - Album Of the Week, Archive Album Of The Week and Lost Bands and of course,  Sounds Of The City  in which we feature a great music city each month and feature a representative band from that city each week.

WANT MORE?

Yes? Well for more info on this week's show - with commentary and pictures of our Albums Of the Week and our Breakthrough Artist, why not click on our Radio Bus page? The link's at the top of this page: you can also sign up for our weekly Musical Box Bulletin (e-mailed out every Wedesday) which gives you even more news and info, plus a tracklisting for the show a day before broadcast!

WHY NOT TRY....

Apart from The Musical Box, I've well into the second series of Music News & Views, a weekly summary of the key and quirkly bits of music news, all with suitable clips and comments. It goes out every Tuesday (10:40) Thursday (11;40) and Sunday (11:40) - so do not miss it!
